Before joining L&L, Rob was a Senior Managing Director in Newmark Knight Frank’s Asset Management department. While at Newmark he managed a portfolio of office buildings for institutional and individual investors of 7 million rsf and had responsibility for most of Newmark’s properties in excess of 1 million rsf. He was a member of Newmark’s internal asset management review committee and worked closely with principals and outside counsel on every aspect and phase of the ownership cycle. Rob joined L&L in March of 2006 and continues here in asset management with the additional responsibility of monitoring overall compliance with L&L’s property management, lease administration and accounting policies and procedures.
Rob is involved throughout the lease drafting process to help ensure that an owner’s rights and interests are protected and clearly delineated, and that nothing of potential future value is given up during negotiations unless it is done so after proper analysis and internal discussion. For in-place leases, his experience analyzing complicated lease records and histories assists in uncovering significant errors in the accounting and lease administration of prior owners and managers, and he has successfully helped to recover millions of dollars of rent and additional rent for L&L and its investor partnerships.
Rob has a B.S. in Business Administration from Bryant University (then Bryant College) with a double major in accounting and finance. He holds an M.A. from Boston University where he also studied paralegal practices while pursuing his master’s degree.
