Jonathan D. Tootell brings nearly two decades of experience to the role of Executive Vice President of Leasing at L&L Holding Company. In his role, Jonathan oversees office leasing across L&L’s comprehensive portfolio, which incorporates a mix of present-day and future icons, including 195 Broadway, 425 Park Avenue; and two eagerly anticipated projects, Terminal Warehouse in Manhattan and The Wynwood Plaza in Miami.
Jonathan began his journey in the industry in January 2005 as an analyst at Cushman & Wakefield, before transitioning into brokerage with a focus on agency leasing. Jonathan held a Managing Director title at Newmark and served as a Partner at Transwestern. In his most recent role, he managed a team of more than 20 professionals as the New York Market Lead at SquareFoot.
Jonathan has played a pivotal role in a wide range of significant projects and transactions, including the repositioning of 229 West 43rd Street and 5 Bryant Park in collaboration with Blackstone/Equity Office, as well as representing Empire State Realty Trust’s landmark buildings, One Grand Central Place and the Empire State Building. Additional prominent clients include AEW Capital Management, Macklowe Properties and SL Green Realty Corp.
Jonathan earned a bachelor’s degree with a double major in Real Estate and Marketing at the University of South Carolina, Columbia, where he played on the men’s varsity soccer team. Jonathan is actively involved in the Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association of New York, serving as a Board Member for three years and as its chairman in 2015.
